Little is known of the Celtaran Circles, save that they are tall races with a faint bluish tinge to their pale skin. Predominantly they have brown eyes, though occasionally other colors do appear. They are secretive, with hidden origins on a green and lush island. It is rumoured that they are a mixture of the ancient fairy races and humans, but their height casts some doubt on this version of history.

Each racial group within the Celtarans can be identified by a unique tattoo or birthmark that adorns their left cheek. Since no-one has ever seen a Celtaran that did not bear such a mark, it is not certain whether these marks are genetic or bestowed at birth.

To outsiders, they are a nation of distinct and different racial groups. To themselves they are circles of devotion. They are usually religious or mystical folk, but their devotions tend towards nature and its powers and secrets. They make excellent druids and most of the races, describe themselves publically by reference to either a God or hero from Druidic Legends. Their true racial names are never made public. They are closed societies, hence their use of the term circles, instead of races.
