ReMort Races of
      
Felarians are descended from the great cats. They have a thick fur and their
colorings vary. They are renowned for their agility and their "9 lives".
They range in sizes but the lower remort races tend to be the smaller cats and
the higher remorts are descendants of the great cats. Their racial names
began as Great House names and slowly expanded to be used for the full extended
family. They are very loyal to their own traditional House and maintain a
strict hierarchical way of life.
Felarians call the cataclysm, the wars of freedom and they
celebrate their emergence into the fullness of their power, by a devotion to the
silver powers of the Dream. All Felarians love the night and ancient
legends promise them that one day, the silver paths will belong to them.
They usually worship Gods that promise them power.
They have a muscular build and can
withstand blows in battle that would kill many others outright. Felarians
retain the large claws and fangs of their ancestors. They are killers by
nature but their arrogance often causes them to underestimate opponents.
Few have the patience or stoicism to make great warriors. Felarians are
attracted to the magic arts, since they do not have to stoop to close contact
fighting with lesser beings. They see no irony in the fact,
that their own races emerged from servitude, often serving as the familiar of
wizards, and now wield magic with little restraint.
Outsiders consider the Felarian Houses, aloof and
arrogant. Felarians respond with contempt. Many Felarian turn their
agility and intelligence to learning the arts of thieving. They excel in
this field. They are certain of their own superiority and feel no need to
convince others of this obvious fact.
